We offer our patients the Zoom! in-office and at-home treatments. The in-office treatment brightens teeth as much as seven shades in about an hour. The at-home program can brighten teeth as much as six shades with a three-night treatment and help the patient maintain that brightness as well.

Dental Examinations

When you visit our Marlborough office for a preventative cleaning, Dr Tony Tong will also perform an examination. Exams are an important way to stay on top of your oral health.

During an exam, we’ll check your teeth and gums for signs of decay or disease. Dark spots and inflamed gums point to a problem. We’ll also ask about any symptoms that you may be experiencing, such as tooth sensitivity.

Taking x-rays allows us to get an inside look at your teeth. These images alert our providers to problems that are developing deep inside your mouth. We may spot issues that can’t be seen by looking at your teeth from the outside.

The sooner we notice these problems, the sooner we can address them. It’s best to treat cavities, gingivitis and other tooth concerns right away. When the issues are small, the treatment is usually fairly simple. When the problem becomes more advanced, the treatment becomes more complicated — and more expensive!

Maintaining a regular cleaning and exam schedule allows your dentist to keep a close eye on your oral health. We can work together to keep your mouth in great shape.

Further Treament

Sometimes, your general dentist will recommend treatment for a tooth problem. Treatments may range from simple to complex.

For example, if you have a cavity, the dentist will recommend a filling. At Union Dental, we use tooth-colored fillings that blend with the surrounding teeth. Other routine procedures include deep cleanings and teeth whitening.
