We are proud of our ability to provide a wide range of restorative dental services to our patients. Restorative dentistry consists of all those services that ensure our patients have a full set of functional teeth. Please consult with us about all your restorative dentistry needs.
Here are the restorative dental services we provide for our patients every day:
Fillings
When you maintain a regular schedule of examinations and cleanings, we can catch a cavity as soon as it needs a small filling and keep the problem from progressing to major tooth decay. We offer our patients tooth-colored fillings to preserve the beauty of their smiles.
Durable, clean crowns protect injured or weakened teeth from further harm. We take great care to ensure that every crown exactly matches the other teeth and enhances the patient’s smile. With the quick placement of a ceramic crown, a fractured or chipped tooth is protected from further harm. A tooth that has had a root canal is strengthened so that it can last for decades. When a tooth has suffered an impact injury and darkens as a result, it is not likely to respond to whitening so a crown will quickly improve its appearance. Crowns are used to improve function and also to improve the cosmetics of a smile.
When a tooth or two teeth in a row have been lost, we are pleased to offer our patients a strong dental bridge as a replacement. A bridge is made from sturdy ceramic material. The teeth on both ends of the bridge are crowns which will fit over reshaped teeth on either side of the gap left by the missing teeth. In the middle of the bridge are replacement teeth which fill the gap. This is a fast and effective method of replacing missing teeth.
This therapy can enable our patients to retain teeth that have suffered an impact injury, deep decay or an infection. Once the soft tissue inside the tooth has been removed, we then fill this open area with sterile material. We then seal up the tooth and recommend a crown to strengthen the tooth. A tooth that has been through this procedure is usually preserved for many years with a crown.
In many dental offices, the dentists will perform simple extractions and refer a patient to another office for a complex or surgical extraction. We have the skills and experience to perform all types of extractions. Our dentists know just how to keep you comfortable during the extraction process, both by ensuring the extraction area is fully anesthetized and by helping you understand the procedure so you know what to expect. If you find that you need a tooth extracted, even a complex extraction like an impacted wisdom tooth, please contact us with confidence.
Implants provide our patients with tooth replacements that are more like their natural teeth than any other method of replacement. An implant is composed of a small titanium post that is placed in the bone of the jaw and then allowed to heal thoroughly. After this healing is complete, the porcelain tooth is secured to the implant. A dental implant looks and acts just like the tooth that was lost.
We can offer our patients three types of dentures: complete dentures, partial dentures and implant dentures. Our intention with all three types is to provide complete, beautiful smiles. Each type of denture should fit securely and be comfortable. With implant dentures, we first place dental implants in the bone of the jaw and then manufacture dentures that clip in or fasten to these implants. Our patients love implant dentures because their dentures no longer slip and shift.
